Yet another court report in the Sydney Morning Herald where the journalist felt the need to mention what the woman looked like: Husband blames wife’s death on drunken squabble:
THEY were the picture of success. But Frank and Monique Haschka had a troubled marriage, the Supreme Court heard yesterday. It ended when he killed her in the kitchen of their Woollahra home.
Mr Haschka, a builder, made millions of dollars in property. His wife worked for a legal firm, where her colleagues found her pleasant and attractive.
What does “worked for a legal firm” mean? Was she a lawyer? A PA? A cleaner? And how do we know her colleagues found her “pleasant and attractive”? Did several of them sit in court and say “wow, for a 52-year-old, she was hot”?
